I’ve been using the Watchman Grab Bag, and overall I’m very impressed with it. The bag has plenty of room for a full-size firearm, extra magazines, and other everyday carry items. The layout is well thought out, and there are several features that really stand out.
One thing I would like to see improved is the second compartment. Adding some MOLLE webbing, additional Velcro, or even a small medical organizer panel would help secure items like magazines, tourniquets, or a compact first aid kit. As it sits now, smaller items can move around more than I’d like.
The rear zipper pocket is a great addition and works perfectly for storing a wallet or other valuables. One of the biggest selling points for me was the ability to lock the bag. Not many bags offer that feature, and it provides an extra layer of security if children or unauthorized individuals might have access to the bag.
The exterior material feels durable and high quality. I could see it showing wear or scratches over time, but only time will tell. I did notice a small amount of fraying in one area of the stitching, but it was very minor and not enough to affect my opinion of the bag.
What really makes this bag stand out is that it doesn’t scream “tactical.” It blends in extremely well and looks more like a small tablet or everyday carry bag than something designed for concealed carry. Most people wouldn’t give it a second look, which is exactly what I wanted.
The price is a little higher than I’d prefer, but I would absolutely purchase it again. I would also recommend that Watchman offer more hard-mount holster options. I wasn’t able to use the holster sold on their website because it wasn’t compatible with my Glock 19 equipped with a Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X.
Overall, I think the Watchman Grab Bag is an underrated option in the concealed carry bag market. It offers features that many competitors don’t, maintains a low-profile appearance, and provides excellent functionality. Despite a few minor improvements I’d like to see, I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others looking for a discreet carry solution.
